Neighbours star Alan Fletcher opens up to the West Australian about his support of Blue September. 

The acting TV doctor is also travelling to the UK and Ireland during September to help raise awareness of cancer in men.

"When you are raising awareness about men's cancers, it's also about reaching out to a female audience as well. Many men ignore their health and the women in their lives - mothers, wives and children - need to give the men a tap on the shoulder and say 'don't just ignore this stuff." (Alan Fletcher)
