THE Blue September campaign encourages people to wear blue this month to raise awareness about men's health and cancer. The Minister Assisting the Minister for Health, Frank Sartor, said men in this state were 1.5 times more likely to be diagnosed with cancer than women. "Each year, more than 7,000 NSW men die of cancer, and 20,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed," he said. "Healthy habits and early detection can play a role in reducing these numbers."
