One Tree Hill in New Zealand Goes Blue!

Iconic landmark “One Tree Hill”, located in Auckland New Zealand, will be lit blue for Blue September!


The hill has been an inspiration for many creative endeavours over the years, perhaps the best known being U2’s song “One Tree Hill” from their album “The Joshua Tree”.

 

Although the famous tree on the volcanic peak was cut down by activists in the year 2000, the high profile obelisk monument that remains at the summit will be lit blue for the month of September, once again bringing an inspired message: let’s face up to cancer in men!
